Tony Blair insisted on his support for the industrial zones during a visit to the Bethlehem industrial estate praising the efforts made by the developer ( Bethlehem Multidisciplinary Indutrial Estate (BMIP) in the success of the project and the provision of services and incentives that encourage Palestinian and Foreign investments in the Industrial Estates despite political and economic difficulties

After examining the site and listening to explanations of the stages of development of the region by the project manager Eli Shehadeh and the members of the Board of Directors Sami Abu Dayyeh and SaqeJerashi , Mr.Blair promised to work on all fronts to overcome the barriers and to develop proposals increase the attractiveness of industrial investment , stressing his support for the efforts of all parties to make the BMIP a success story.
