Dr. Tayseeer Amro deputy minister of national economy visited the Bethlehem industrial estate and met Dr. Samir Hazboun chairman of the board and Mr. Saqr Jerashi board member of the BMIP. The visit aimed to learn more about the ongoing development of the area of industry and the infrastructure works of the first phase, which is nearing completion. A field visit took place to The Palestinian manufacturing company for tissue paper and hygienic products and met its owner Mr. Jeries Kara’a. Amro praised the company's efforts in the development of the region and the visible preparations for the reception of investors and the provision of basic services and for the success of their projects, which has impact in strengthening the national economy and reduction of unemployment. It is clear that the Ministry of Economy and the Palestinian government will not hesitate to provide possible facilities for the success of the industrial estates in Palestine, pointing that the Palestinian economy and the industrial sector is a cornerstone in building a Palestinian state. For his part, Hazboun emphasized on the importance of follow-up visits and praised the Ministry of National Economy tireless efforts for the success of the project, and the partnership between the private and public sectors. He commended the role of the Palestinian and French public sectors, and their interest in the project, stressing that the cooperation of all partners is important to create a successful model of industrial zones.
